In this chapter we have, I. Some further promises relating to gospel-times. Here is a promise of the remission of sins , of the reformation of manners , and particularly of the convicting and silencing of false prophets, Zech. 13:2–6. II.

Behold the Lamb of God taking away the sin of the world, the sin of the church; for therefore was the Son of God manifested, to take away our sin, 1 John 3:5. I.

Here is a prophecy, I. Of the sufferings of Christ, of him who was to be pierced, and was to be the fountain opened. Awake, O sword! against my Shepherd, Zech. 13:7.
