Psalm 130
Verse 1
Out of the 1 depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
Being in great distress and sorrow.
Verse 3
If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, 1 who shall stand?
He declares that we cannot be just before God but by forgiveness of sins.
Verse 4
But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou 1 mayest be feared.
Because by nature you are merciful therefore the faithful revere you.
Verse 7
Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is 1 mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
He shows to whom the mercy of God belongs, that is, Israel, to the Church and not the reprobate.
