Prayer for Guidance and Protection. To the chief musician upon Nehiloth. A psalm of David. 1 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. 2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
Verses 7–12
In Ps. 7 David gives three characters—of himself, of his enemies, and of all the people of God, and subjoins a prayer to each of them. I. He gives an account of himself and prays for himself, Ps. 5:7–8. 1. He is stedfastly resolved to keep closely to God and to his worship.
